Target Audience

The target audience for the game would be ideally aimed at children - the age group focusing on age 8 to 16. It will be aimed at both males and females as the idea of promoting business as well as creative skills is encouraged to both genders. The target audience would be attracted to the idea of making an earning from their hard work of innovation. This has an education aspect, which is also entertaining and fun. The idea of recreation and renovation has an outcome to be better for the future which is something to be encouraged to our youth. The children of today are our future - which is something I think the game will enforce. The game utilises the use of colour, by choosing vibrant and vivid hues to attract a youthful audience. The colours will be eye catching, drawing in the younger market.

The platform the game is based to play on will be a mobile app. This means the device it will be played on would either be an iPad/tablet or a mobile. Tablets have become more accessible and are quite family based, meaning it would be the best platform for my target audience. Most young children/teenagers will have their own device that supports an App Store, again making sure that the game will be easiest to obtain. An app would be a good interface for the audience because touch screen directions are easy and straight forward. Especially as the market is for young teens, an easy usability is key. This game should be aimed for parents to download the game for their children as it will educate them on the idea of buying and selling and how to make a profit.
